How To Level Up Quickly In Farmville

There are more and more people joining the ranks of FarmVille every day. No one can get enough of this game and there are plenty of reasons why. This also goes for me as well as I'm already at a higher level and still never get enough. In FarmVille, you can get away from the noise and stress of everyday life. Just relax, plant some seeds, harvest some crops – not a bad way to spend an evening. And as you do this, you'll naturally advance in levels over time.

There may come a time, though, when you want to get a little more out of the game. Every time you move up a level, you unlock new seeds, decorations, and other discretionary items. Now they even got crafting, where you can either set up a Winery, a Spa, or a Bakery, in which you can make the goods and sell them or you can buy the goods that your neighbor sells and easily convert them to fuel. There's a lot more than just the crafting.

This means that in order to get the most out of your FarmVille experience, you'll have to level up quickly to unlock as many items and bonuses as you can.

The Basics

But how do you do this? There are several things to keep in mind if you want to level up quickly in FarmVille. You probably already know that in order to level up, you need to accumulate experience points. For example, each plot of land you plow gets you one experience point. In the early stages of game play, the number of experience points you get by plowing land and planting crops is plenty to allow you to advance at a reasonable pace. Once you get through the initial stages though, you start to need more and more experience points to level up.

Focus on Experience

When you want to build up experience points quickly in FarmVille, you have to supplement what you gain from your normal harvests with other activities. Making improvements to your farm is a good way to gain some quick chunks of experience points. Buildings yield the most, but you can get experience from putting up just about any decoration or structure. You just have to pay close attention to the amounts of experience points each item will deliver.

You should also take experience points into consideration when deciding which crops to plant. Crops that take less than a day to grow only yield 1 experience point, while crops that take longer yield 2. That doesn't mean you only want to plant crops that offer 2 experience points however. If you can get back and harvest them as soon as they're ready, crops like strawberries will get you more than 2 experience points a day because you can harvest them every 4 hours.

Here's a secret I want to share with you...

Make sure you use the bushels for the crop you're going to harvest so that for every plot you harvest, you get at least 1 XP.

Also make sure you get as many bees as you can on your beehive (maximum allowed is 200 bees plus the queen bee). When they get pollinated and you harvest them, you can get up to 7 XPs per plot and this happened while I was harvesting the Morning Glory crops.

You have to be on top of your harvesting and planting cycles in order to make progress this way though. Putting up buildings on your farm remains the best way to get big boosts in your experience quickly. Save up your cash for those, and you'll be well on your way to unlocking all of the available items in FarmVille.

FarmVille Magic Clicker

Try out this nifty tool by Nessuno.org. It's a Windows program and is not a Farmville cheat. All it does for you is to do less clicking. But you have to make sure that you zoom out your farm just like the video has demonstrated it.

Jacaranda Tree

If you play Farmville and you're looking for the Jacaranda Tree, two things must happen:
  • It must be giftable by a player already in Level 100 (*). (I'm unable to gift it at this time)
  • You must be a Facebook friend who's also playing Farmville.

I still have a long way to go before I get there. Eventually, I'll make it there.

Meanwhile, my hands are full with Cafe World and Farmville and the winery I just started. Thus that's the least I'll worry about for now.

I'm just serving others by gifting, fertilizing farms, purchasing bakery, spa, and winery goods from friends, and snagging bushels from them (of course they get 10 XP per visit). As you see I'm a little bit too busy to worry about it at this point since I have a long way to go.

My two cents...

More Farmville for Fun With The NEW 26 x 26 Expansion

Just expanded my farm to 26x26 plot. It costs you 2 million coins, which I think is pretty steep. Or you can spend 80 FV cash to get it, which I think is steep for that as well.

Another thing you need to do is add five more neighbors. That's what I had to do even though I have more than 200 neighbors. I read from another source that you only need to add five more neighbors unless you already had the maximum of 300 neighbors, which you should be able to expand, providing you have the funds to do it.

By expanding your farm from a 24x24 to a 26x26, you just added 100 more plots. Is this worth 2 million coins/80 FV cash? You decide.

Rewards For Crop Mastery

Here's what you get when you master any crop you grow...that means you get past Level 3 mastery:
  • You get Coins and XP bonuses
  • If you use the bushels for the crop you're harvesting, you get at least 1 XP per harvest.
But you may ask, why am I not getting any XPs when I harvest my crops...

Well, until you mastered each crop, you go through Levels 1, 2, and 3 mastery. Here's what you need to know about harvesting each crop:
  • If you use the bushel for that crop, you get 2 credits for mastery per plot.
  • If you forget to use the bushel, you get 1 credit for mastery per plot.
  • If you master that crop, you get 1 XP per plot. This doesn't include the XP bonuses you get for your friends fertilizing your crops.

Get the point? So make sure you try to master each crop and also have some bushels in hand for that crop you're harvesting.

Farmville And 7-Eleven

Zynga, the creators of FarmVille have teamed up with 7-Eleven to promote the game (along with Mafia Wars and YoVille) through the purchase of 7-Eleven items. For every item you purchase, you go to http://www.buyearnplay.com, log into your Facebook account. You'll redeem the item through a code that's on each item purchased and then you get that particular item for that game. If you purchase a Farmville item, you get a Farmville item that's exclusive for only U.S. and Canada-based 7-Eleven stores. You can't even redeem it if you have an Internet connection from another country because a friend of mine had tried it.

Your first item redeemed from a 7-Eleven purchase gets you access to the Goji Berry crops, which you plant for 15 coins, harvest for 126 Coins, and get a total of 3 XPs (1 XP for plowing and 2 XPs for planting) not to mention if the plot was fertilize by a friend, which makes it up to 4 XPs.

There is also a chance that if you can collect all the items and you'll be awarded 200 Farmville cash (FV cash). This is called the Uber gift. You must get 8 counters (2 counters awarded if you buy the game card) credit and must master the Goji Berry crop to be awarded the Uber gift. In FarmVille, you get 200 FV cash if you accomplish it. I don't know if you can do it for a second time because it's a one-time only deal.

So if you participate in this promotion, you can get 200 FV cash. I already did and about to spend it all. I encourage you to do it as well.

Happy farming and keep playing farmville for fun.

About Farmville Collectibles

Occasionally when you work on your Farmville farm, you might run into one of these items, which appears at the bottom of your viewing screen. This tells you that you have found either a bug, butterfly, shovel, or any of the collectible items.

Some are commen, uncommon, or even rare, but you get them eventually.

To make a long story short, you complete one of the groups. Once done, you trade it in for 250 XPs and 5,000 coins.

Now I see some of my neighbors getting this left and right and that's because they have over 200 neighbors. I have about half as many neighbors, so I get about half the collectibles as they do.

All I see here is that you get 250 XP and 5,000 coins. Just another way to put some differentiation in keeping us out of the boredom of the game of clicking to work the farm and another way that keeps FarmVille for fun.

How I Increased My XPs Rapidly In My Farmville Farm?

Here's another way you can enjoy playing Farmville for fun...

A technique that I used to increase my XPs rapidly in my farmville farm.

No cheats are needed. Just manual posting of comments to the forum. If everyone does it, why can't you do it?

All you have to do is the following:

  • Be a Farmville Fan. The link to that site is http://www.facebook.com/farmville
  • Be able to post comments on the Farmville fan page
  • Make sure your fellow Farmville fans can get to your farm. Example, the link to my farm is http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/index.php?visitId=710833207 but you will have a similar one to what I have except for the visitId will be different.
  • Don't use the bit.ly or the tinyurl.com to redirect it to the link or you will be asked to respond to a reCaptcha challenge. Computers nowadays allow us to cut and past the entire link. Simply use the link like I have and you'll bypass the challenge. Just save yourself another step.
  • Post a comment like the message I have below as an example...When you get a chance, please fertilize the crops and feed the chickens. No walking. Thanks in advance. http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/index.php?visitId=710833207
  • When you request to have your farm fertilized and your chickens fed, you get more XPs when you harvest your farm. I was getting XPs when I was either harvesting my Peas or Blackberries and sometimes I was getting like 3XPs on one plot. It got to a point where over 400 people visited my farm and fertilized my crops...therefore all my plots were fertilized and they ran out of plots to fertilize. The same may happen to you.
Anyways, getting more XPs make me play Farmville for fun and I hope the same goes as well for you.

More Time For Farmville

If I had more time to play Farmville, I would plant Blackberries (unless you get a 7-day subscription to plant the White Corn which supersedes all this) since it's the most profitable and the #1 XP getter for Farmville. Since you get 2 XPs added per plot every four hours (1 for plow and 1 for plant), you theoretically get 12 XPs per day. Allowing time to harvest, plow, and plant plus time for you to get some sleep, I would say that you get between 6 to 8 XPs per day.

What if you don't have that much time to play Farmville, but want to keep up? Depends on what your schedule is. If you can get to the computer on a daily basis and can wait 24 hours, I would plant Peas (3 XPs to plant, 1 XP to plow) since you get 4 XPs per plot. This is the most profitable and XP-getting 1-day crop to work with and still be able to keep up with your neighbors.

I'm sure you have one hour a day to play Farmville and plant Peas. Otherwise, I suggest you plant the 2, 3, or 4-day crops.

If you don't care about XPs, then just plant trees and collect animals. At least none of them expire if you don't harvest them. Although it's possible to get a villa without planting crops, it would just take an awful long time, but that's another story.

Well, off to work. Next I'll talk about Two-day crops...

Does Mystery Eggs Help Make Farmville For More Fun

Playing Farmville for fun is one thing...

How about all these mystery stuff.

During Christmas, we the different color presents. At that time, I was curious what's in those presents. I was a mystery to me what's in them.

Well when I open those presents, I got a bunch of stuff, like 1, 5, 10, or 15 fuel refills, a lighted gift (forgot what they were called) that I sold for 2000 coins each, a brown chicken, a black chicken, and a golden chicken, just to name a few.

Now that the different colored presents are over, now remains the mystery eggs.

Mystery eggs come in white, black, brown, or gold. They are respectively laid by white, black, brown, or golden chickens. You can get a golden chicken from any of those eggs, although your chances of getting them diminish if the eggs were laid by either the brown, black, or white chickens. I even got a golden chicken from a white mystery egg, but that happened only once. My daughter got two golden chickens from the white myster eggs. Basically it's a matter of being there at the right time. You can also get multiple fuel refills or other gifts from any of these eggs.

Most of the time, you get chickens.

If you don't want what you get from the mystery eggs, you can always sell it for coins. That's what I do. Every little gift counts since it adds up for that villa that you probably wanted to purchase. I'm gearing up to purchase my 3rd villa. All that proves to the reader is I earned it through the several thousand plots of plowing, planting, and plowing, and spending the coins wisely. But that's another story.

However, make sure that when you get a mystery egg, you share it with your facebook friends who may play farmville. When you contribute, we all know why we play farmville for fun.

Don't just send gifts. Tell them about the mystery eggs you found.

White Corn For Helping Out Those In Haiti

Another reason why you should play farmville for fun!!!

Zynga has come up with another Farmville promo with the White Corn. Those who donate 25 Farmvill Cash (FVs) for the cause in Haiti get to do the following:

  • Get a 7-day unlimited license to plant White Corn on their farm.
  • Buy one plot of White Corn for 10 coins and sell it for 125 coins, thus gets you a 115-coin profit.
  • You get a whooping 3 XPs per plot.
  • Harvest them in 6 hours.
  • This crop never WITHERS...that means if you forget to harvest, it's okay, you harvest your White Corn when it's ready
  • And finally, Zynga will donate the proceeds to help those who were affected by the earthquake in Haiti.
So go donate for the Haiti cause and have more fun planting White Corn.

Just another reason for you to play farmville for fun.

Withering Was Disabled???

I noticed that I planted blueberries but nine hours after they were ready for harvest, they were still available for harvest. (Note that blueberries harvest in four hours and wither four hours after that.) I know by that time, they should have been withered, but for some reason, there were getting some complaints from some users about Farmville not loading.

So what did zynga do about it? While they work on the issues, they disabled withering for the meantime. I won't be surprised if they already put it back up.

To be honest with you, we can't play farmville for fun if withering is disabled. Withering keeps the fun in farmville because there's always something to discuss about the game with friends.

However, if Farmville is not consistently loading, then there's a system problem and they better get working on it or zynga (the developer for farmville) is going to have a bunch of very unhappy patrons.

Why Get A Villa

When you play farmville, one of the buildings that they have for in the market is a villa. To get the villa, you have to be at level 34 and yes, have at least 1,000,000 coins. If you want to make sure that you have to coins for the villa, you want to make sure that you don't spend your coins on anything else that takes up space and don't make you any coins. There are several ways of making coins in farmville. Here's a few I can name:

  • Receive gifts given to you and sell them.
  • Plant and harvest your crops
  • Trees and animals
  • Bonuses from achieving ribbons
  • Helping your friends and neighbors
  • Mystery gifts
  • Coins show up while plowing
  • ... I'm sure there are others...
Make room for objects (besides crops that you plant) that help you earn coins. Don't worry about the XPs earned since you also get that when you plant crops and get up to 3 XPs (on peas) when you harvest crops that were fertilized by your neighbors and friends. Just make sure you don't wait till the last minute to harvest your crops because when it withers, you lose the harvest, thus the coins that you could have made for that harvest.

Well, once you've earned over 1,000,000 coins, is it time to get the villa? That's a very good question, but I would wait until I have at least 1,300,000 coins to make sure that you have enough to plow and plant crops on your farm. You don't want to buy a villa and then all of a sudden you're broke.

It's not that hard to get the 1.3 million coins. I just consistently worked on the farm and as a result, I've already bought two villas as you see on the picture of my farm. As soon as I have a 1.3 million coin balance and have made room for the next villa, I go ahead and make the purchase.

I don't know if you need the villa, but my goal in this game is to fix myself with 10 villas. I don't think it will happen overnight, but I'll eventually get there. I'm about 400,000 coins from the next villa, so just a matter of time when I get that third one.

One last thing about the villa. For 1,000,000 coins, you get a villa, have to give up about 4 plots (square), and 10,000 XPs. I know I get the satisfaction of playing farmville for fun when I get the next villa, but that's part of my goal. How about you? I'll let you decide on this one.

If you want to learn how I got the villas, I suggest you click here and see the secrets on how I already have two villas and on the way of getting a 3rd one.

Play farmville for fun and have fun at it!!!

which farmville crops should i plant?

here's my take on which crops should you plant and when to use it.

if you're just starting out, i suggest you do either one:

  • get more coins - you receive free gifts then you can sell those gifts
  • buy coins using real funds
  • don't fill up your farm with crops or you won't have any money to plant crops.

if you already have enough coins to plow, but not enough to buy the more expensive but more profitable crops, i suggest you do any of the following:

  • if you can come back in 4 hours, plant strawberries
  • if you can come back in 1 day, plant soybeans
these crops take the least amount of coins but also give you enough xp points to advance to higher levels and be able to unlock other crops.

if you're already a veteran, i suggest you do the following, depending on your schedule.

  • harvest in 2 hours - plant raspberries
  • harvest in 4 hours - plant either blackberries or blueberries. blackberries are preferred if already available since you get more profit in terms of coins than blueberries.
  • harvest in 8 hours - plant tomatoes
  • harvest in 16 hours - plant asparagus
  • harvest in 24 hours - plant peas - if planted, you get 3 XPs (plus one xp for plowing)
in my experience in playing this game, the more you plow, plant, and harvest, the more your coins and XPs grow and the higher you level up.

if you hardly get on the internet but still want to play farmville for fun, i suggest you plant the crops based on your schedule. there are crops that can be harvested for 2, 3, or 4 days. pick the crops that fit your schedule.

there is no right or wrong answer on what crops should you plant.

the bottom line is, you always play farmville for fun first...

play farmville for fun

i'm don't need to tell you the details of playing farmville or how to play it because you can search that yourself online. even my soon to be 10 year old daughter can do that herself.

anyways, i started playing farmville back in july or august of 2009, but because i was playing farm town, i wasn't sure if i wanted to take the game seriously. i basically played the game to network with my facebook friends and of course, i began to enjoy it. here's a picture of my farm as of this post. As you see, i've been looking after it on a daily basis..

but if i hadn't gone overseas to see my relatives, i would have never gotten myself into the game. at that time, i was into playing farm town (have 2 mansions there), another game on facebook and myspace. i would have never gotten to this status, approaching almost 300,000 xp, level 55, and two villas, but still have lots of coins to use up - actually I'm saving it for another villa.

my goal is to put 10 villas in my farmville farm, not just to get to level 70 or have as many xp points as i like to have. however, that's just for playing the game.

in real life, farmville is a social networking game and my real goal is to build as many quality relationships as possible.

who knows what happens from there...

some say people get hooked to playing farmville and it showed while visiting relatives overseas. one of them is a high school student who stays up late and gets up early in the morning to play the game. another stays up late at night to play the game, even spending more time decorating their farm. another relative who's older than me plays the game on a daily basis and since he's playing mostly for the xp points and to get the villa, at the rate he's going, he might overtake me since he's got more time to spend playing it than I do (i work almost full time so i have less time to spend than he does).

if you play farmville, play it for the right reason. have a why when you do. it doesn't matter what your why is. if it's to play farmville for fun, so let it be. if it's to socialize with your peers because they're playing it as well, then do it. the point is, your why is 99.99 percent important.

just have fun playing farmville....

just to make sure you get the most out of playing farmville, check out this guide if you want to impress your peers who are also playing farmville. there are no cheats, but they're basically good information that can help you with the game. Click here for more details...
